Maintenance & Bug Fixing

I fix bugs and keep live web apps running. Most of my maintenance work is on Laravel and PHP applications, plus MERN stack apps and the servers underneath them. That covers errors your users report, integrations that stopped working, pages that load slowly and hosting problems.

I'm a full stack developer in Pakistan, and people usually reach me when something is already broken. Send me the error message, the page it happens on and anything that changed recently through the contact form, and I'll tell you what I think is wrong and what it will take to fix.

What I fix in Laravel, PHP and MERN apps

• Laravel route errors, controller bugs and Blade template problems
• Broken APIs and failed integrations with Stripe, Twilio or the Google Calendar API
• Payment gateway failures and transactions that don't complete
• Login and session bugs
• Forms that fail validation or won't submit

How I fix a bug

1. I reproduce the problem, so I'm fixing the real cause and not a guess.
2. I trace it through the logs and the code until I find where it starts.
3. I make the fix in Git, on its own branch, and test it in staging when you have one.
4. I deploy it, check that the page works and that nearby features still do, and send you a written summary of what changed.

Fixes I've delivered

• A legacy real estate website in PHP and MySQL had stopped accepting new property uploads. I solved it in a single live Zoom session. The full story is in fixing a PHP upload error on a legacy site.
• Snipe-IT v6 was unstable on a DigitalOcean VPS. After I stabilised it, server response times dropped 35%.
• A WordPress and Elementor Pro site was loading slowly. Core Web Vitals fixes cut page load time by 30%.
• A Google Calendar scheduling flow at Makers Asylum produced registration errors. After my rebuild they fell by 80%.
• On a government-scale Laravel system at NITB, I tune Eloquent queries and indexes to cut API response times.

Server and hosting problems

If your live site is down, slow or misconfigured, I can usually find the cause quickly. I've solved production problems on DigitalOcean, Plesk, cPanel and custom VPS setups.

• PHP version conflicts and redirect loops
• Apache or Nginx misconfigurations and .htaccess errors
• 403, 404 and 500 errors that appeared after a deployment
• MySQL permission problems and database crashes
• Queue jobs that fail and cron jobs that don't run
• SSL certificate errors and HTTPS redirect problems
• Locked-out SSH access, firewall blocks and security hardening

Ongoing maintenance

If your app needs regular attention, I can look after it on an ongoing basis. This usually includes:

• Fixing bugs your users or testers report
• Keeping Laravel, Composer and npm packages up to date
• Small features and interface changes
• Speed and SEO improvements
• Watching uptime and server health

Larger builds, such as a new module or a full application, are scoped as full stack web development.

Paid work runs through Upwork, which protects payment for both of us. Urgent production problems get priority, and I answer within a few hours during Pakistan working hours (PKT, UTC+5).
